JOHN SILVER

FOUNDER & CEO

 

John has created some of TV’s biggest hits, from cookery competition MasterChef – one of the world’s best-selling and longest-running TV formats - to Britain’s most acclaimed and successful property series Grand Designs.

A hands-on Show Creator for over 20 years, John devises and creates Pi’s output.  Other hit series he has created include the award-winning Jamie Oliver documentary series Jamie's Kitchen; long-running property renovation formats Property Ladder and Double Your House for Half the Money with Sarah Beeny, Build a New Life in the Country with George Clarke and Dream Kitchens and Bathrooms with Mark Millar; innovative ground-breaking formats like cooking competition Cookery School and relationships therapy format Made For Each Other?; and acclaimed documentary series Paradise or Bust and The New Servants,

A graduate of the University of Cambridge with a PhD from Columbia University under Edward Said, John began his TV career making documentaries for BBC Arts on Don DeLillo, Leonora Carrington, Gunter Grass and Madonna and for the series The Story of Painting with Sister Wendy Beckett.  

 

Before founding Pi, he was CEO at Red House, Creative Director at Shine and Head of Factual Programmes at Talkback-Thames.

EADIE SHARP

PRODUCTION EXECUTIVE

 

Eadie started her TV career at Cineflix Productions, gaining experience in development and distribution, with a special focus on Production Management for the Pet School series for CBBC, Claimed and Shamed for BBC1 and Trauma Doctors for Channel 5. Working at Avalon, World Media Rights and Special Edition Films, Eadie managed the crews, edits and budget for a range of productions delivering to both UK and US broadcasters, such as Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer with Simon Brodkin for Channel 4, Winter Road Rescue for Channel 5 and Abandoned Engineering for Discovery Science. Now at Pi she works across all their shows and the day-to-day running of the company. 

ANTONIA SILVER

DEVELOPMENT & DIGITAL PRODUCER

Antonia is across all Pi’s development slate for UK & International Broadcasters, developing ideas and pitches for BBC TV, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV1, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Food Network USA, HGTV USA, Discovery, You Tube.  She also leads our Digital new business.

JOHN VILLENEAU
HEAD OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS

John has worked with John Silver for 15 years.  He qualified from Harbottle and Lewis 8000 years ago and has worked across all sectors of the media industry. He was head of business affairs at Granada International and GMTV. After a short stint at Channel 4 he moved to the independent sector working at Shine TV before becoming freelance and working for a number of independent producers including Pi.
